15TH BLUE FLAG LOCAL RESPONSIBLE TRAINING SEMINAR WAS HELD IN KOCAELI!
"Blue Flag Local Officials Training Seminar", organized for the 15th time this year by the Turkish Environmental Education Foundation, was held in Kocaeli between 7-10 November.
At the end of the three-day seminar organized by the Blue Flag Program of the Environmental Education Foundation of Turkey with the support of the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality and the Kocaeli Department of Environmental Protection and Control in December07-10 November 2023 in Dedeman Kartepe Kocaeli, more than a hundred participants who participated in the training were given the "Blue Flag Local Responsible Training Certificate".
The International Blue Flag Director, the Spanish Blue Flag National Coordinator and the Greek Blue Flag National Coordinator, as well as the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, TUBITAK Marmara Research Center, which is one of the leading institutions supporting the Blue Flag Program in our country, also attended the seminar.
The opening ceremony of the training was held by the President of TÜRÇEV and former Minister of Tourism Abdulkadir Ateş, Mayor of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Tahir Büyükakın and Deputy Governor of Kocaeli Ismail Gültekin.
31 municipalities in our 10 coastal provinces, 2 tourism associations and more than 100 participants representing the local association will perform the duty of Local Blue Flag Officer in their region on behalf of their institutions.
A total of 1652 municipal personnel have participated in the trainings conducted by our Foundation to date. On the first day of the training, Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Izmit Bay Bottom Mud Cleaning Project and on the second day, Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality ORMANYA Biodiversity Conservation and Natural Habitat Field trip were organized.
