Mediterranean Aquaculture Research, Production and Training Institute (AKSAM) was established in Antalya in 2004 and is one of the leading institutions of our country in the fields of aquaculture production, research and education. Responsible for the Aegean and Mediterranean regions, it carries out important work in the fields of fisheries, sustainable fishing and aquaculture. The Institute develops projects to protect the biological diversity of our seas, improve water quality and support blue flag standards, and provides expert individuals to the sector through training activities. Additionally, it contributes to the ecological balance of our coasts with its activities aimed at increasing environmental awareness. Located in the Beymelek district of Antalya, the facility has a modern infrastructure for education and research studies, as well as welcoming its visitors with its guesthouse offering accommodation. In this respect, AKSAM supports both scientific and environmental sustainability studies.
