Çamlık Beach is located in the 13,5nd kilometer coast of Atakum locates in Samsun – Sinop Highway, 14,5 km from the city center. The sea is shallow and has a wide sandy beach. Atakum formerly named as Matasyon.Beaches of Atakum are attractive not only for the people of Samsun, but also people of Amasya, Çorum, Tokat and other tourists by means of sandy and broad beaches.Together with the arrangements made in approximately 30 km area, the region has turned into an important attraction thanks to the bicycle roads, playgrounds, open areas and equipments for daily life sport activities and sea tourism. Along the shore, social and entertainment places are well enough equipped to serve day long. The region is designed fully open to the public and there is no space available for the use of private property and have cut the coast.
